“Pireas 2019” focused on the effects of the current challenges in politics and the economy for Greece’s shipping sector.

Taking place for two days, “Pireas 2019” included the Global Shipbrokers Forum on June 20, which presented the positive perspectives of the Greek shipping sector; and the Shipbrokers Gala Dinner, which took place on June 21.
The event attracted more than 2,000 participants and attendees to Piraeus during the two-day event, among them shipowners, shipbrokers, maritime executives and decision makers from all over the world, who exchanged views, strengthened and extended existing collaborations, and exploreed new business opportunities.
“Pireas 2019” was held under the auspices of the Greek Ministries of Shipping and Tourism, the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, the University of Piraeus and the Aegean University among other organizations.
