Liberian Registry and Palau have signed a Bilateral Agreement in order for their Certificates of Competency to be mutually recognized by endorsement pursuant to Regulation I/10.

Other countries signed the undertaking are Australia, Georgia, Morocco, Romania and Singapore.

Palau has concluded Bilateral Undertakings concerning the mutual recognition of Training and Certification of Seafarers pursuant to Regulation I/10 of the International Convention on “Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW)” 1978, as amended.

PISR has concluded these agreements with countries which are parties giving full and complete effect to the relevant provisions of the STCW Convention, as confirmed in the MSC.1/Circ.1163/Div.12 of July 9, 2019 facilitating the free and unimpeded access of seafarers holding Certificates of Competency issued by other maritime administrations to serve on vessels flying Palauan flag, and vise versa.
