Amendments to MARPOL Annex IV – Prevention of Sewage Pollution

This resolution amends Regulation 11.3 of MARPOL Annex IV, to revise the application criteria for discharge of sewage from passenger ships within a special area, based on the amended definition of “new passenger ships” (i.e. building contract placed or keel laid on or after 1 June 2019, or delivered on or after 1 June 2021).
